1. Open the sliding rear window to the limit of its travel.2. Remove the filler by pulling it from the window frame. See Illustration 1.3. Inspect the groove (channel) from which the filler was removed. a. If the groove is smooth, put a 3 mm (.125") diameter bead of 3S6252 RTV Silicone Sealant in the bottom of the entire length of the groove. This will hold the new filler in place.b. If the sides of the groove are serrated, put a small amount of 3S6252 RTV silicone sealant at each end of the groove. Put a 3 mm (.125") diameter bead in the groove where the tapped bar joins the window frame halves.4. Install the new 7T1105 Filler as follows: a. Be sure the new filler is 1296 2 mm (51.02 .08") long before starting the installation.b. Start each end of the filler in the ends of the groove.c. Trim the gripping leg on the filler to clear the tapped bar that joins the window frame halves. (See the cutout in the old filler.)d. Start the center of the filler at the center of the vertical groove. See Illustration 2.e. From the three starting points, proceed toward the corners, working the filler into the groove. Do not shorten the filler. Use the entire length provided.
