(A) Track recoil system

Install protection cover (1) as shown in Illustration 2 during assembly of the track adjuster. After the recoil and track adjuster assembly has been installed in the track roller frame, apply sealant to the inside of large diameter end (B) and tighten the clamp to the bulkhead. Fill protection cover (1) with grease and apply sealant to the inside of small diameter end (C). Tighten the clamp near the piston end bell or foot.

Install protection cover (2) as shown in Illustration 3 prior to the installation of the recoil and track adjuster assembly into the track roller frame. Apply sealant to large diameter end (B) and tighten clamp to the cylinder. Mark location (D) on the piston approximately 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) from the end of the piston. Fill protection cover (2) with grease and apply sealant to inside of small diameter end (C). Tighten clamp with edge of protection cover (2) on mark (D) .
