Move the levers for the coupler pins to the ENGAGED position.

Route the auxiliary hydraulic lines (6) for standard hydraulic flow of the cold planer through the hose guide (7) on the loader arms. Route the wire harness (5) through the hose guide.
Ensure that the quick-connects are free from dirt. Failure to keep the quick-connects clean could result in damage to hydraulic system components.
Note: Do not route the auxiliary hydraulic lines (4) for high flow through the hose guide.
Connect the auxiliary hydraulic lines for the cold planer to the host machine. Twist the collars of the quick disconnect couplings for one quarter of a turn in order to secure the hydraulic connections.

Connect wire harness (5) to electrical connector (8) .

While the loader arms are fully lowered, visually inspect the quick coupler in order to ensure that the coupler pins are fully extended through the corresponding holes of the frame mounting bracket. Verify that the coupler pins are engaged before you operate the host machine with the cold planer. Use the following procedure to verify engagement of the coupler pins.
Enter the machine.
Fasten the seat belt and lower the armrest.
Start the engine.
Disengage the parking brake.
Keep the cold planer close to the ground.
Activate the tilt control in order to tilt the cold planer downward.
Apply down pressure on the cold planer.
Move the host machine backward. Ensure that there is no movement between the cold planer and the quick coupler assembly.
Rack back the cold planer until the cold planer is slightly off the ground.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine and exit the machine.
Inspect the cutting bits for wear and for damage. Inspect the cutting bits for free rotation. Inspect the bit holders for wear and for damage. If necessary, replace the cutting bits or bit holders. Ensure that the proper cutting bits are used for the application. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Bits - Inspect/Replace" for additional information.
Inspect the skids for wear or for damage. Rotate the front skids with the rear skids in order to increase the life of the skids. If necessary, replace the skids. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Skids - Inspect/Replace" for additional information.
Test the cold planer for leaks and for proper operation.Removing the Work Tool
Disengaging the coupler pins will release the work tool from control of the operator.Serious injury or death may result from disengaging the work tool when the work tool is in an unstable position or carrying a load.Place the work tool in a stable position before disengaging the coupler pins.
Auxiliary hoses for work tools must be disconnected before the quick coupler is disengaged.Pulling the work tool with the auxiliary hoses could result in damage to the host machine or the work tool.
Enter the host machine.
Fasten the seat belt and lower the armrest.
Start the engine.
Disengage the parking brake.
Rack back the cold planer and slowly lower the cold planer to the ground.
Tilt the cold planer forward until the cold planer is slightly off the ground.
