Schematic of the implement lockout solenoidThis is recorded when the ECM reads the voltage of the solenoid circuit as above normal (short to +battery). The possible causes of this diagnostic code are listed:
The harness is shorted high.
The ECM has failed. This is unlikely.System Response:The machine response is listed:
The function of implement lockout will not be available. All implement functions will be disabled.Note: Ensure that CID 0882 FMI 03 is active.Test Step 1. CHECK THE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT.
Turn the key start switch and the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the machine harness from the solenoid.
Disconnect the machine harness from the implement lockout switch.
Disconnect the machine harness connectors J1 and J2 from the ECM.
At machine harness connector J2, measure the resistance from the following solenoid contacts to all other J1 and J2 connector contacts: contact J2-30 (wire E917-WH), J2-31 (wire M927-GN) and J2-3 (wire E918-GN). Expected Result:Each resistance should be greater than 5000 ohms. Results:
YES - Each resistance is greater than 5000 ohms. The machine harness is correct. Proceed to test step 2.
NO - The resistance measurement is not correct. There is a short in the machine harness. Repair: The short is between the contact and the circuit with the low resistance measurement. Repair the machine harness or replace the machine harness.STOPTest Step 2. CHECK THE SWITCH.
The implement lockout switch remains disconnected from the machine harness.
The switch should be in the NOT LOCKED position. At the switch, measure the resistance from contact 2 (wire E918-GN ) to contact 1 (wire M927-GN ). The resistance should be less than 5000 ohms for this measurement.
The switch should be in the LOCKED position. At the switch, measure the resistance from contact 2 (wire E918-GN ) to contact 3 (wire E917-WH ). The resistance should be less than 5000 ohms for this measurement.
The switch should be in the NOT LOCKED position. Then, the switch should be placed in the LOCKED position. The following measurement should be performed with the switch in both positions. At the switch, measure the resistance from contact 1 (wire M927-GN) to contact 3 (wire E917-WH). The resistance should be greater than 5000 ohms for this measurement.Expected Result:Each resistance measurement is correct. Results:
YES - Each resistance measurement is correct.Repair: It is unlikely that the ECM has failed. Exit this procedure and perform this procedure again. If the cause of the diagnostic code is not found, replace the ECM. See Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Replace".STOP
NO - The resistance is not correct.Repair: The switch has failed. Replace the implement lockout switch. Verify that the new switch corrects the diagnostic code.STOP
