Generator ECM
The following is a list of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) associated with the Hazardous Voltage Circuit of the machine.
Table 1
Generator ECM
DTC Code Description System Response
3760-5 Generator-Phase A: Current Below Normal Activated during the Automatic Power Inverter Service Test
3761-5 Generator-Phase B: Current Below Normal Activated during the Automatic Power Inverter Service Test
3762-5 Generator-Phase C: Current Below Normal Activated during the Automatic Power Inverter Service Test The Automatic Power Inverter Service Test has indicated an open or short circuit in the hazardous voltage circuitry of the corresponding generator phase.Possible causes for an FMI 5 are:
Loose/poor HV connections for the Generator.
Failed HV Cables.
Failed Stator windings.
Internal failure of power inverter.

Diagnostic Trouble Code Procedure
Note: Prior to beginning this procedure, inspect the harness connectors involved in this circuit. Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean, secure, and in good condition. If a problem with a connection is found, correct the problem and verify that the DTC is active before performing a troubleshooting procedure.

FMI 5 Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting Test Steps Values Results
1. Safe Shutdown Procedure
This procedure must be performed before the service is performed in an area that is near power train hazardous voltage components and conductors to ensure the DC power bus voltage and the DC accessory power bus voltage has discharged properly.
Refer to "Electrical Maintenance Guidelines" section of this manual. Perform "Safe Shutdown Procedure for Electric Drive Tractors" before proceeding with this procedure.
The Safe Shutdown Procedure for Electric Drive Tractors has been performed. The indication from the Hazardous Voltage Present Lamp and the Monitoring System Display are indicating the DC system voltage has been properly discharged. OK -The Safe Shutdown Procedure for Electric Drive Tractors has been performed. The indication from the Hazardous Voltage Present Lamp and the Monitoring System Display are indicating that the DC system voltage has been properly discharged.
Repair:The disconnect switch can be turned to the OFF position. The machine can now be serviced.
This procedure should not require the disconnection of any of the hazardous voltage connectors. However, if an AC connection enclosure is opened or if a hazardous voltage DC connector is disconnected, a multimeter must be used to check for DC voltage between all the exposed conductors and frame ground.
