Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install radiator (19) in position with fan shroud (20), and radiator support bracket (21). Secure the radiator to the radiator support bracket, and the fan shroud with bolts (24) .Note: The radiator is positioned into the radiator support bracket with rubber bushings on the radiator.

Install fan (23) into position. Secure the fan to the water pump with bolts (22) .

Place the radiator, the fan shroud, and the radiator support bracket into position in the machine. Note: The radiator and the fan shroud can be installed from the machine without a lifting device.
Pull fuel hoses (7) and (8) through the radiator support bracket.

Install bolts (10) in order to secure radiator support bracket (21) to the machine frame.

Install radiator hose (17) onto the water pump. Secure the radiator hose with hose clamp (16) .
Install fan guard (18) onto fan shroud (20) .

Install radiator brackets (13) to the upper portion of the radiator support bracket. Secure brackets (13) with bolts (12) .
Install hose (15). Secure the hose with hose clamp (14) .
Install overflow hose (11) .

Remove plugs from fuel lines (7) and (8) .
Install clips (9) that secure fuel lines (7) and (8) .

Move hydraulic oil cooler (6) into position. Secure the hydraulic oil cooler with bolts (5) .Note: The hydraulic oil cooler was not previously disconnected.

Install side guard (4). Secure the side guard with bolts (3) .

Install cover assembly (2). Secure the cover assembly with bolt (1) .
Fill the radiator with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".End By: Install the counterweight. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Counterweight - Remove and Install".
