Do not disconnect any oil lines or remove the relief valve until oil pressure in the main system has been released.
1. Disconnect hoses (1) and (2) from the relief valve. Remove two bolts (3) that hold valve group (4) to the lower valve group. Remove valve group (4). 2. Remove spring (6), ring and valve from large port.3. Remove bolts (5) and then remove valve group (8).4. Inspect all O-ring seals for damage and make a replacement of the seals if necessary. Check O-ring seal under valve group (8). The following steps are for the installation of the main system relief valve.5. Install a new O-ring under valve group (8) if it was damaged. Do the same for O-ring seals (7).6. Install valve group (8) and bolts (5).7. Install valve, ring and spring (6) in the large port.8. Install valve group (4) with two bolts (3). Connect hoses (1) and (2) to the relief valve.Disassemble Main System Relief Valve
Start By:a. remove main system relief valve 1. Remove spring (3), valve (2) and ring (9) from housing (1).2. Remove plug (8) and valve (7) from housing (6).3. Remove plug (12), spring (11) and valve (10) from housing (6). Remove bolts (5) and then make a separation of housings (4) and (6). 4. Remove valves (17) from housing (5). Remove stops (16) and springs (15).5. Remove stems (13) and shims (14). Keep the shims with their respective stems. Put identification on each stem (13) as to its action in housing (4).Assemble Main System Relief Valve
1. Install stems (13) in their original positions in valve group (4). Install the original thickness of shims (14) in their respective stems.2. Install springs (15) and stops (16) in valve group (4).3. Install valve (17) in valve group (6). 4. Put valve group (4) in position on valve group (6). Make sure the O-ring seals are in place. Install four bolts (5).5. Install valve (7) and plug (8) in valve group (6). Install valve (10), spring (11) and plug (12) in valve group (6).6.
