1U5566 Black Light Kit is available to make it easier and quicker to detect leaks in oil, fuel and cooling systems. Additives, also available from Caterpillar, can be put in the suspect system and the leak point will show in the black light (ultraviolet light). Instructions come with the kit.
For replacement parts, a 1U5567 Black Light Filter and a 1U5568 Bulb are available.

Use of the spectacles (glasses) is recommended to prevent eye damage from the ultraviolet light.
Three types of additives are needed, depending on which of the three systems is to be checked for leaks.
