PROBLEM
The engine oil level gauge calibration charts, which are based on the installation angle of the engine, can cause an overfilled crankcase on certain C32 Marine Engines. If the calibration charts are used to calibrate the oil level gauge it can lead to low power and/or engine vibration.

Refer to the engines Operation and Maintenance Manual Engine Oil Level Gauge Calibration Procedure for the proper procedure. SEBU7908 is for engines with the RXB1-UP serial number prefix. The Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7822 is for engines with the RNC1-UP serial number prefix.
Engine News SEBD9445 also contains the proper calibration procedure.
This procedure should be performed at the next scheduled oil change interval.
