Removal Of Swing Bearing
(1) Remove the bolts securing the swing bearing to the swing frame using a torque wrench, impact wrench and socket.(2) Run eyebolts into the swing bearing and fasten chain slings through the eyebolts.(3) Lift the swing bearing off the swing frame using a crane. (4) Lower the swing bearing onto the workbench and clean it with kerosene. * Be sure to keep flames, sparks and cigarettes away.2. Installation
Installation Of Swing Bearing
(1) Thoroughly clean the swing bearing mounting flange surface of base frame (5) with cleaning solvent. * Insufficient degreasing could prevent uniform application of liquid packing. (2) Apply liquid packing to the swing bearing mounting surface of the base frame.(3) Run eyebolts into swing bearing (21) and fasten chain slings through the eyebolts.(4) Lift the swing bearing using a crane and run guide bolts into the swing bearing using a spanner.(5) Lower the swing bearing in position onto the swing frame using a crane. (6) The dowel pin hole in the swing bearing outer race must come on rear side of the swing frame when installed in position. * See the figure below for the position of the swing bearing outer race with respect to the base frame.(7) Apply seizure preventive agent to the bolt threads. * Use care not to put seizure preventive agent on the bolt seats. (8) Install the bolts into the swing bearing and remove the guide bolts from the swing bearing. Then tighten the bolts to the specified tightening torque [2200 200 kgf cm (158.8 14.4 ft lb)] using a torque wrench and socket.(9) Lifting upper structure 1. Fill up the grease bath of base frame (5) with grease.2. Run the guide bolts into the swing bearing using a spanner. * Excessive grease could advance deterioration of grease due to increased stirring loss, resulting in damage of the swing bearing and swing gear. 3. Fasten lifting slings to the brackets provided on counterweight (18) through shackles.4. Attach the chain block to the backets on swing frame (17) through shackles. * Do not over-tighten the shackle bolts since they are tightened more by the weight of the upper structure when it is lifted. So it is recommended to loosen the bolts by 1/2turn after tightened firmly.* Before attaching the chain block, check to be sure that the chains are free from binding by winding chains up and down with no-load 2 or 3 times. 5. Take up the weight of the upper structure by tensioning the chains of the chain block. * Check the chains for kink or twist.* Check to see if the braking force of the chain block is correctly acting on by winding the chains up and down by about 10 cm.* Check to be sure that each hook stopper of chain block is correctly locked, as shown in the left by an arrow. 6. Lift the upper structure by carefully operating the crane and chain block, using care to get a correct lifting balance of the
