5-1 Maintenance Standard Table
* Maintenance services based on the below listed maintenance standard require specific calibration/measurement and precision machining technologies, and it is assumed that the readers are fully familiar with basic technologies required for inspection, calibration and repalrs. In the event it is considered to be technically difficult, it is recommended to replace the part or assembly to avoid future problems.(1) Valve main component (2) Relief valve (3) Check valve and restriction valve 5-2 Inspection And Calibration
Control valve must be used correctly. To ensure longer life perform the following daily inspections.1. Check the cleanliness of hydraulic oil and maintain cleanliness of NAS class 9 or better. Contaminated hydraulic oil causes wear on sliding sections of valve (spool and housing, O-ring at spool section) which ultimately leads to increased internal and external leakage. If the oil further contaminates stick of spool may occur.2. Check the hydraulic circuit filter and prevent clogging of the filter.3. Check if the hydraulic pressure is within the rated value. If the pressure is higher than the rating, investigate the cause and carry out countermeasures required to reinstate in normal value. Using control valve with pressure higher than the rating causes damage to the valve.4. Check for oil leakage at joint with external piping. If leakage is noticed retighten screws, replace O-ring or take any other countermeasure appropriate for loosened screw or damaged O-ring, etc.5. Check for oil stains on the spool head side spool surface. Replace O-ring if any stain noticed.6. Check for the control valve mounting bolt tightness and retighten if any loosened bolt is noticed. Untight bolt causes uneven load on the spool, loose joint between external piping increasing play with the stroke.7. Operate the control lever and check for maloperation. If any malfunction occurs check if linkage, bell crank and others are all normal and are not in contact with other items. If no troubles are found in the link system, disassemble the control valve and inspect.8. Check for oil leakage from the remote control cap. Replace O-ring and retighten bolts if any leakage is forward.9. Check if the pilot pressure is normal. If not, investigate the cause and return the pressure to normal. If pressure is below the rating spool will not perform full stroke. If it is above the rating it leads to damaged remote control cap.
