5-1 Maintenance Standard Table
5-2 Inspection And Calibration
(1) Housing 1. Measure the plunger bore with an air micrometer and measure the clearance between this bore and the mating plunger. Standard diameter: 21.8mm (0.8583")* If the clearance exceeds the standard of 0.010 mm (0.00039') replace plunger. If the plunger leakage is within standard, replacement is not required. 2. Plunger bore Insert the mating plunger, move it right and left and check that it slides smoothly. (2) Plunger 1. Measure the plunger O.D. with an air micrometer and measure the clearance between plunger and housing bore. * Refer to the column for Housing. 2. Measure the surface roughness and sliding scratches of the outer circumference. * Refer to maintenance standard table for standard values.* Refer to maintenance standard table and repair procedures for sliding scratches. (3) Spring return section and hydraulic pack 1. Inspect the sliding sections of cap and guide. * Replace if extremely worn. (4) Main relief valve1. Inspect for uneven contact and damage on the seat of relief poppet and pilot seat at pilot section. * Refer if uneven contact and damage on the seat are beyond repair. 2. Inspect for uneven contact and damage on the seat of relief poppet and relief seat at main poppet section.* Replace if uneven contact and damage on the seat are beyond repair. (5) Overload and makeup valve1. Inspect for uneven contact and damage on the seat of check seat and relief valve. * Replace if uneven contact and damage on the seat are beyond repair. 2. Inspection for relief valve (cartridge1) Inspect for uneven contact and damage on the seat of poppet and relief poppet.* Replace as a cartridge assembly if uneven contact and damage on the seat are beyond repair. (6) Insert spring and relief valve into the housing hole, then confirm by operating them of their smooth operation. (7) Center logic valve1. Insert poppet into sleeve, and confirm that it operates smoothly by moving back and forth. 2. Center bypass logic valveCheck the orifice in poppet for any clog.* If clogged, remove the clogged condition with a thin-gauged wire. etc. (8) Boom confluence logic valve 1. Insert poppet into sleeve to confirm that it operates smoothly by moving it back and forth. (9) Swing, arm, parallel turn logic valve 1. Insert poppet into sleeve to confirm that it operates smoothly by moving it back and forth. (10) Springs 1. Check springs for bend, scar, cut or any other damage. * Replace if there be any abnormal bend or damage. (11) Check valve (For port P2) Insert a thin stick and confirm that the check inside lifts correctly.5-3 Repairs
(1) Housing If dents, scratches, rust or corrosion are found, repair with #2000 sandpaper or oilstone. (2) Plunger If dents, scratches, rust or corrosion are found, repair with #2000 sandpaper or oilstone. (3) Various parts If dents, scratches, rust or corrosion are found, repair with #2000 sandpaper or oilstone.* Be sure to remove burrs at the edges of sliding sections.
