1. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure in order to determine for your machine the correct repair procedure. If the cylinder assembly inner diameter measurement exceeds the part tolerance, follow the After Failure repair procedure.
2. Before Failure requires replacement of the cylinder seal kit only.
3. After Failure, requires replacement of both the cylinder assembly and cylinder seal kit.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Refer to KENR9844, Disassembly and Assembly, "Stick Cylinder - Remove and Install", for the removal, installation, disassembly, and assembly instructions for the stick cylinder.
1. Measure the cylinder assembly inside diameter in X direction and Y direction and between 20mm to 80mm to the face of flange. Refer to Image1.2.1.
2. If the 259-0671 Cylinder Assembly inner diameter in X and/or Y directions are bigger than 140.04mm, replace the 259-0671 Cylinder Assembly with a new one and replace seals in the seal kit with same part number except the 126-1876 Snubbing Seal. Replace the 126-1876 Snubbing Seal with a 214-4501 Snubbing Seal.

3. If the cylinder assembly inner diameter is not greater than 140.04mm, and cylinder group part number is 242-6860, 242-6869, 266-7983, or 349-4139, replace seals in the seal kit with same part number except the 126-1876 Snubbing Seal. Replace the 126-1876 Snubbing Seal with a 214-4501 Snubbing Seal.
