Two travel motors are located in the inside rear of the left track roller frame and two travel motors are located in the inside rear of the right track roller frame. The travel motors are fixed displacement bent axis piston motors. The travel motors are capable of single speed travel in either direction. Each travel motor is operated by oil flow from the six implement piston pumps.Oil flow to the travel motors can be for forward travel or for reverse travel. A change in the direction of oil flow through the travel motors will not change the amount of torque from the shaft of the travel motor.Oil from the counterbalance valve flows through line (1) to the travel motor. Oil exits the return port and flows back to the travel counterbalance valve.The case drain oil is oil that has leaked from the sliding surfaces and clearances. Case drain oil provides lubrication for the rotating parts. Case drain oil returns to the hydraulic tank through line (2) .Note: Refer to the Hydraulic System System Operation, "Hydraulic Motor Operation" for information on the operation of a hydraulic motor.
