If any of portion of the new arrangement is utilized on a machine, all hoses and tubes must be updated.Refer to "Special Instruction" M0088521 for the procedure to install the improved air intake system. The new 543-1254 Primary Engine Ar is effective with the product above the listed serial numbers. The new engine arrangement incorporates the new manifolds which are part of the air intake update.The special instruction is available through the normal literature distribution system. The publication can also be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).
