Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Compressor housing must go straight on the turbocharger assembly without tilting. Tilting may cause compressor blade to tip, or the compressor shaft can be damaged.

Position cover (8) and the gasket (not shown). Install bolts (7) and hand tighten the bolts. Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft). Tighten bolts (7) to a final torque of 47 9 N m (35 6 lb ft). Repeat this Step for all remaining covers.
Position compressor housing (5) and turbine housing (1) on turbocharger cartridge (3) .Note: Ensure that the mating surfaces are flush.
Tighten the nuts on V-band clamp (2) to a torque of 17 1 N m (124 9 lb in). Use a soft hammer to lightly hit around the diameter of the band clamp. Tighten the nuts again to a torque of 17 1 N m (124 9 lb in).
Tighten the nuts on V-band clamp (4) to a torque of 17 1 N m (124 9 lb in). Use a soft hammer to lightly hit around the diameter of the band clamp. Tighten the nuts again to a torque of 17 1 N m (124 9 lb in).
Ensure that the impeller spins freely.
Connect hose (6) to the compressor housing.End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
