(5) Parking brake Pressure Sensor Parking brake (1) is located in the drive line on the front end of the machine ahead of the articulated hitch. The parking brake is a spring applied, pressure released style brake. When the oil pressure in the brake system drops below a given pressure, the pressure sensor (5) sends a signal to the machine electronic control module (ECM) (2). The ECM sends a signal to the gage cluster and turns ON/OFF the park brake lamp on the gage cluster.

(7) Parking brake switch The parking brake can be engaged by activating the parking brake control switch (7). The parking brake control switch (7) is located on the panel to the right of operator next to ignition switch.

(8) Parking brake indicator When de-energized, the parking brake control valve vents pressure to the hydraulic tank, allowing the spring pack to apply the parking brake. When energized, the valve supplies brake accumulator pressure to the parking brake. This action allows the parking brake to release. When the parking brake engages, a signal is sent to the ECM. When the parking brake engages, the ECM activates the parking brake indicator (8).
