3. Disconnect two tube assemblies (1) from the transmission control lock.4. Remove two bolts (2). 5. Put the transmission control in the reverse position and slide bracket (3) off the transmission control lock. 6. Remove the bolts that hold transmission control lock (4) to the transmission. 7. Put the transmission control lock in position so wires (5) can be disconnected. Remove the transmission control lock. Put identification on the wires for correct installation.Install Transmission Control Lock
1. Connect wires (1) to the switch on the transmission control lock. 2. Put the transmission control lock (2) in position on the transmission. Make sure the rail in the control lock engages with the directional selector valve spool in the transmission hydraulic controls. Install the bolts that hold the transmission control lock in position.
Make sure the directional selector valve spool in the transmission hydraulic controls moves freely after the transmission control lock is installed. If the valve spool does not move freely, remove the cover over the transmission hydraulic controls. Loosen the four bolts that hold the transmission hydraulic controls in position. Move the valve group until the directional selector valve spool is free to move with the rail in the transmission control lock. Tighten the bolts that hold the valve group to a torque of 35 3 lb ft (48 4 N m).
3. Put bracket (3) on the transmission control lock. Make sure the cam in the bracket engages with the rail in the transmission control lock.4. Install the bolts that hold the bracket in position. Again, make sure the directional selector valve spool moves freely with the rail in the transmission control lock. 5. Connect two tube assemblies (4) to the transmission control lock.6. Make an adjustment to the speed control linkage. See Speed Linkage in Power Shift Transmission Testing and Adjusting Form No. SENR7324.7. Make an adjustment to the transmission control lock switch as follows:a) Put the parking brake in the engaged position.b) Turn the ignition switch in the "ON" position.c) Put the transmission control lever in the "REVERSE" position.d) Loosen the locknut on the switch. Turn the switch in until the horn behind the seat in the operator's cab makes sound. Turn the switch in one more turn and tighten the locknut. The horn must still make sound.e) Put the transmission control lever in the "NEUTRAL" position. The horn must not make sound.f) Put the transmission control lever in the "FORWARD" position. The horn must make sound.g) Turn the ignition switch "OFF".8. Install the panel over the rear of the cab.Disassemble Transmission Control Lock
Start By:a) remove transmission control lock 1. Remove switch assembly (1) from the transmission control lock. 2. Remove two plugs (2) and O-ring seals. Check the condition of the seals. If the seals have damage, use new parts for replacement.3. Remove cylinder (3) from the housing. Remove the connector and piston from the cylinder. 4. Move plunger assembly (4) until the detent groove in the plunger assembly is at the center of opening
