Partial SchematicThis diagnostic code is active when the Laser Catcher is not detected at start-up.This diagnostic code will be active if any of the following conditions are present:
A sensor has failed.
A sensor is not installed.
The wiring for the sensor is disconnected.
The wiring for the sensor has failed.System Response:When this diagnostic code is active, "CB 70" is shown on the display.Test Step 1. VERIFY THE SYSTEM SETUP
Verify that the machine is configured properly.
Check in order to ensure that all of the sensors and harnesses are connected.Expected Result:The system is configured and the laser catcher is connected.Results:
OK - The system is configured and the laser catcher is connected. Proceed to Test Step 2.
NOT OK - The system is not configured or the sensor is not connected.Repair: Configure the system for the laser catcher and ensure that the sensor is connected. Proceed to Test Step 6.Test Step 2. CHECK FOR VOLTAGE AT THE POWER MODULE
Disconnect the cable from the power supply module.
Turn the key start switch to the "ON" position.
Place a jumper wire between pin "E", pin "F" and frame ground. Check for machine voltage at the connector contacts that are listed in Table 2.

NO - The voltage is not machine voltage.Repair: Replace the power supply module.STOPTest Step 3. CHECK FOR VOLTAGE AT THE SENSOR
Disconnect the cable from the sensor.
Turn the key start switch to the "ON" position.
Check for machine voltage at the connector contacts that are listed in Table 2.

The key start switch and the disconnect switch remain in the OFF position.
Measure the resistance between contact C (252-YL) and contact D (262-GRN) at the connectors of the sensors.Expected Result:The resistance measurement is 120 12 ohms.Results:
YES - The resistance measurement is 120 12 ohms. Proceed to Test Step 6.
NO - The resistance measurement is NOT 120 12 ohms. Proceed to Test Step 5.Test Step 5. CHECK THE TERMINATION RESISTOR
The key start switch and the disconnect switch remain in the OFF position.
Disconnect the 3-pin connector from both of the termination resistors.
Measure the resistance between contact A and contact B for both of the resistors. Note the resistance.Expected Result:The resistance measurements are 120 12 ohms.Results:
YES - The resistance measurements are 120 12 ohms. Reconnect the resistors. Proceed to Test Step 6.
NO - One
