Park the machine on a level surface.
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Jacking Locations" for the proper lifting points. Support the machine so that the rear tires are off the ground. The machine must be in a stable position in order to be able to turn the rear tires.
Unlock the differential.
Stop the engine.
Drain the oil below the level of the outer cover.

Remove outer cover (1) .

Install the wrench for your machine to the appropriate torque wrench.
Check the torque. Refer to Table 2.
Refer to the adjustment procedure in the Power Train Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Final Drive Bearings - Adjust" if the torque is incorrect.
