(A) Closed (B) Open (4) Switch (5) Control lever (6) Ball valve
Place switch (4) in the UP position.
Place both ball valves (6) in the OPEN position (B) .
Start the engine.
Place the engine speed dial at position "1".Note: When the counterweight removal system is active, place the engine speed dial at position "10".
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).Note: The hydraulic activation control lever must be in the LOCKED position in order to activate the counterweight cylinder.
Move control lever (5) downward in order to fully retract the counterweight cylinder. Hold control lever (5) downward for five seconds and check the relief valve pressure setting at pressure tap (1). The relief valve pressure setting should be 15100 + 300 - 0 kPa (2190 + 44 - 0 psi).
Return control lever (5) back to the NEUTRAL position.

(4) Switch (5) Control lever (7) Control valve (8) Adjustment screw (9) Locknut
In order to adjust the relief valve pressure setting, loosen locknut (9) and turn adjustment screw (8) until the reading at the pressure gauge at pressure tap (1) is 15100 + 300 - 0 kPa (2190 + 44 - 0 psi).Note: Turning adjustment screw (8) clockwise increases the pressure. Turning adjustment screw (8) counterclockwise decreases the pressure.Note: Always make final pressure adjustments on pressure rise.
Tighten locknut (9) to a torque of 30 2 N m (22 1 lb ft).
