Illustration 1.This is a view of the LH door latch assembly.1. Remove the 162-8719 Door Latch Assembly from the LH door. Replace the 162-8719 Door Latch Assembly with the 190-4173 Door Latch Assembly.
Illustration 2.This is a view of the LH door striker assembly2. Remove the 6V-1155 Striker Assembly from the cab. Replace the 6V-1155 Striker Assembly with the 8T-3848 Striker Assembly.3. Remove the 8T-4156 Door Seal. Replace the 8T-4156 Door Seal with the 178-8894 Door Seal.After the installation of the new parts, adjust the door latch mechanism using the following procedure:1. Close the door and locate the striker.2. Make sure that the striker is centered vertically in the jaws of the 190-4173 Latch Assembly and that it does not cause the door to move up or down when the door is closing.3. Check for interference between the striker head and the jaws or latch case.4. If necessary, adjust the striker by adding or removing striker shims.5.
