Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
1. Loosen clamp (1) from turbocharger pipe assembly (2). Remove nut (6), the bolt, the spacer plate, the washers and two clips (3) and (4). Remove turbocharger pipe assembly (2) from turbocharger (5). 2. If necessary remove coupling (7) from turbocharger pipe assembly (2). 3. Position a suitable container under oil supply tube assembly (8) prior to removal, to contain the oil for storage or disposal. Remove two bolts (9) from oil supply tube assembly (8). Disconnect oil supply tube assembly (8) from turbocharger (5). Disconnect oil supply tube assembly (8) from oil supply tube assembly (10). Remove the O-ring seal from oil supply tube assembly (8). 4. Position a suitable container under oil supply tube assembly (11) prior to removal, to contain the oil for storage or disposal. Remove two bolts (12) from oil supply tube assembly (11). Disconnect oil supply tube assembly (11) from turbocharger (5). Remove the O-ring seals from oil supply tube assembly (11). 5. Disconnect tube (16) from atomizer assembly (13). Remove bolt (15) and retainer (14) from the adapter. 6. Position a suitable lifting device on turbocharger (5) as shown. Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Remove four locknuts (19), four high temperature bolts (17), turbocharger gasket (20), and turbocharger (5) from inlet manifold (18). The weight of turbocharger (5) is 32 Kg (70 lb). Discard the high temperature bolts, the locknuts, and gasket after removal. 7. Remove two O-ring seals (22) from outlet elbow (21). Remove two O-ring seals (23) from air transfer pipe (24). 8. Remove bolt (26), retainer (25), outlet elbow (21), and air transfer pipe (24) from turbocharger (5). 9. Remove two O-ring seals (27) from outlet elbow (21). 10. Remove two O-ring seals (28) from air transfer pipe (24). The following steps are for the installation of the turbocharger.11. Make sure all components of the turbocharger are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation.12. Check all O-ring seals and components for wear or damage and replace if necessary.13. Lubricate all bores and O-ring seals lightly with engine oil. 14. Install two O-ring seals (28) to air transfer pipe (24). 15. Install two O-ring seals (27) to outlet elbow (21). 16. Put air transfer pipe (24) and outlet elbow (21) in position on turbocharger (5). Install retainer (25), and bolt (26) to turbocharger (5). 17. Install two O-ring seals (22) to outlet elbow (21). Install two O-ring seals (23) to air transfer pipe (24). 18. Position a suitable lifting device around turbocharger (5) as shown. Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Put turbocharger (5) and a new turbocharger gasket (20) in position on inlet manifold (18). Apply 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound to four high temperature bolts (17). Install four new high temperature bolts (17) and
