Tractor-ScrapersDescription of Change: A new brake master cylinder group is used on 613C Tractor-Scrapers. It has a new cylinder body and a new switch is installed on the flat face of the body, instead of on the outside diameter of the body flange. The new switch, combined with its new location in the new body, prevents a false indication of overstroking and thus unnecessarily turning on the warning light in the operator's compartment. Formerly, a false indication of overstroking could occur when the machine was started after being shutdown for several days. The brake warning light could come on with the brakes fully operational. This caused unnecessary delays until the problem was corrected by simply turning off the brake light by manually resetting the overstroke switch.
Adaptable To: The new 8W4588 Cylinder Group is effective with 613C Tractor 92X928, and 613C Scraper 93X896. The former 5V3752 Cylinder Group can be updated by replacing the body and 7V5642 Switch with the new 8W4856 Body and the new 8W4857 Switch Assembly.
