2. The fuel solenoid valve is located behind right hand door assemblies (1) and (2). 3. Disconnect wire harness (3) at the electrical connection. 4. Remove solenoid valve (4) from unit injector hydraulic pump (5). 5. Remove retainer nut (6), spacer (7), O-ring seal (8), O-ring seal (10), and back-up ring (9) from solenoid valve (4). The following steps are for the installation of the fuel solenoid valve.6. Make sure all components of the fuel solenoid valve are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation.7. Check all O-ring seals and components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Lubricate all O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant being sealed.8. Install back-up ring (9), O-ring seal (10), O-ring seal (8), spacer (7), and retainer nut (6) to solenoid valve (4).9. Install solenoid valve (4) to unit injector hydraulic pump (5). Tighten solenoid valve (4) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).10. Connect wire harness (3) at the electrical connection.11. Turn the fuel supply valve, located on the fuel tank, to the "On" position.12. Prime the fuel system.
