Location of new parts for the tank relief valve.The valve maintains a constant pressure inside the tank to prevent a vacuum from forming when there is a sudden demand for oil flow. This reduces the possibility of pump cavitation and pump noise. When the machine is shut down and the hydraulic oil cools, the valve opens to the atmosphere and prevents formation of a vacuum in the tank during this period.
Adaptable To: The relief valve is effective with 966C Loader 18B1820 and 966R Loader 58Z1428. The new 3G9895 Relief Valve Group, 5Y1055 Filler Assembly, and 3D2824 Seal can be installed in place of the former 5J1122 Filler Assembly on earlier loaders.
