1. Fabricate two plates (8) from SAE 1035 steel. Use the dimensions shown in Illustration 3.2. Position the fabricated plates so that the dimensions of 270.0 mm (10.63 in), and 22.0 mm (.87 in) are maintained.3. Weld the fabricated plates on the side of the bottom plate with AWS E7016 Electrode or an equivalent.
