Removal Procedure
Turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Disconnect cable assemblies (1) and (3). Disconnect harness assembly (2) .

Remove alternator guard (4). Remove serpentine belt (5) .
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for correct removal and installation Procedures.
Remove bolts (6). Remove alternator (7) .Installation Procedure

Position alternator (7) in the machine. Install bolts (6) .
Install serpentine belt (5). Install alternator guard (4) .
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belt - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" for correct removal and installation Procedures.

Install harness assembly (2) .
Install cable assembly (3). Tighten the bolt for cable assembly (3) to a torque of 4.4 1.0 N m (38.94 8.85 lb in).
Install cable assembly (1). Tighten the bolt for cable assembly (1) to a torque of 18 2 N m (159 18 lb in).
Turn the power disconnect switch to the ON position.
