Install the body retaining pins. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Body Retaining Pin".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Position the disconnect switch to the OFF. Note: Put identification marks on all hose assemblies and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss and this helps to prevent contaminants from entering the system.

Disconnect harness assembly (1). Disconnect tube assembly (3). Disconnect hose assembly (2).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto the lubrication pump (4). The weight of the lubrication pump is approximately 100 kg (220 lb).
Remove bolts (5). Remove the lubrication pump (4).

Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
