Information:

Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load can result in overheating and accelerated wear of the engine components.If the engine has been operating at high rpm and/or high loads, run at low idle for at least three minutes to reduce and stabilize internal engine temperature before stopping the engine.Avoiding hot engine shutdowns will maximize turbocharger shaft and bearing life.
In order to allow the engine to gradually cool, operate the engine at low idle for three minutes.

Turn the engine start switch key to OFF position (1) in order to stop the engine.
Never turn the battery disconnect switch key to OFF with the engine running. Electrical system damage could result.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the disconnect key, and secure the lock on the cover plate.
If the machine is parked, chock the wheels.
Drain the water from the air tanks. Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Air Tank Moisture and Sediment - Drain".
