Disconnect hose assemblies (1).
Attach a suitable lifting device to ripper lift cylinder (2). The weight of ripper lift cylinder (2) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).
Remove bolt (3) and pin (4).
Remove bolt (5) and pin (6).
Remove ripper lift cylinder (2).

Remove seals (7).
Use Tooling (A) to remove bushings (8) from both ends of ripper lift cylinder (2). Disassembly and Assembly Information

Tighten bolt (1) with a 46 mm socket. (1) Torque for bolt ... 1800 200 N m (1325 150 lb ft) (2) Lubricate sealing lips with a thin covering of the lubricant that is being sealed. Note: Lubricate the threads with Tooling (D) and torque the head (3) to 600 130 N m (440 95 lb ft).

Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Use Tooling (A) in order to install bearings (8). Install seals (7) in ripper lift cylinder (2). Install seals (7) with the sealing lip outward. The installation depth for bearing (2) is 7.0 0.5 mm (0.28 0.02 inch). Note: Do not use an impact driver to install bearing (2).

Install pins (4) and (6). Install bolts (3) and (5).
Connect hose assemblies (1).
Check the hydraulic oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure.
