Start By:a. remove glow plugsb. remove fuel injection valves. FLUID SPILLAGE CONTAINMENTCare must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to "TOOLS AND SHOP PRODUCT GUIDE, NENG2500", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines. Dispose fluids according to local regulations and mandates.1. Drain the coolant from the cylinder heads into a suitable container for storage or disposal. 2. Make a separation between the push rod rocker arms with Tool (A). Move the rocker arms to one side. 3. Remove valve bridges (1).4. Remove precombustion chambers with Tool (B).Install Precombustion Chambers
FLUID SPILLAGE CONTAINMENTCare must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Put 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compoundon the threads of precombustion chamber (1). Install chamber (1) and gasket (3) in the chamber head. Tighten the precombustion chamber with Tool (B) to a torque of 205 14 N m (150 10 lb ft). 3. Install bridges (4).4. Make a connection between push rods and rockers arms with Tool (A).5.
