Problem
Current 6V7925 Fuel Rate Indicators are sensitive to humidity. This can cause the indicator to show incorrect fuel rates. Also, it can cause the indicator to NOT shut off automatically. An improved 6V7925 Fuel Rate Indicator is available. It is not sensitive to humidity. The improved indicator has a letter "A" stamped in the case between the connector and switch.
Parts Needed
1-6V7925 Indicator - Fuel Rate.
Action Required
Replace each 6V7925 Fuel Rate Indicator with the improved indicator. Refer to "Parts Disposition" for indicators removed from use. WARRANTY ALLOWANCES All dealers except CofA dealers must submit one claim for all indicators replaced. The claim must show: 1. Quantity of indicators replaced, and 2. Statement that indicators returned to Claims Room, Attn: Randy Wherley (U.S. and Canadian dealers), or 3. Date when indicators destroyed (dealers outside U.S. and Canada) CofA dealers must include the claim for all 6V7925 Indicators replaced on their next "Defective Parts" claim. Enter "6V7925 Indicators returned to CofA - PI7156" as the dealer narrative.

U.S. and Canadian dealers must return 6V7925 Fuel Rate Indicators removed from use and a copy of the claim to: Caterpillar Tractor Co. Attn: Randy Wherley 8201 N. University Whse 4, Docks 5-8 Peoria, IL 61615 CofA dealers must return 6V7925 Fuel Rate Indicators removed from use. Mark the package with the Claim Administration Number and return to: Caterpillar of Australia Ltd. Service Claims Area, Attn: Peter Ward 1 Sharps Road Tullamarine 3043 All other dealers should destroy 6V7925 Indicators removed from use. Record quantity and date destroyed for the warranty claim.
