If main relief pressure is too low, the calibrations would have to be rerun.The transmission oil temperature during testing must be 80° to 120°C (176° to 248°F).If the pressure reading for each energized clutch is not within the target values, the following problems may be occurring:
a bent solenoid stem
a dirty screen or a plugged screen
a weak spring or a broken spring

Connect tooling (A) or tooling (B) to pressure tap (8) for the main relief valve pressure. Refer to Illustration 4.
Start the engine and run the engine at low idle.
At low idle, apply the service brakes, and move the transmission control through the 1, the R, and the N positions. The main relief pressure should be 2310 172 kPa (335 25 psi) for all positions for "R1N" transmission and "JH5" transmission.If the pressure is not correct, adjust the main relief valve
Move the transmission control to the P position.
Turn off the machine and remove all test equipment.Main Relief Valve Pressure - Adjust (If Needed)
The transmission hydraulic control relief valve is located under the cover on the transmission.

(14) Adjustment screwThe pressure reading for the main relief pressure at pressure tap (8) should be within the target values. If the pressure is not, adjust the spring on the transmission hydraulic control relief valve. Use the following procedure.
Remove cover (13) on the main relief valve.
Turn adjustment screw (14) in the proper direction.Turning the adjustment screw clockwise increases pump pressure. Turning the adjustment screw counterclockwise decreases pump pressure.
Install cover (14).
Check the main relief pressure again.Transmission Shift Test
