3. Remove left hand door assemblies (8) and (9) from the engine enclosure. 4. Remove bolt (10), the washer, and left hand door assembly (11) from the engine enclosure.

Bottom of engine enclosure tube assembly5. Remove four bolts (12), the washers, and engine enclosure tube assembly (13) from rear frame assembly (14) and the engine enclosure. 6. Remove the four bolts and washers from the engine enclosure tube assembly. Using two people, remove left hand door assembly (15) from the engine enclosure. The weight of left hand door assembly (15) is 34 kg (75 lb). 7. Remove four bolts (16), the washers, two retainers (18), gasket (21) and oil tube assembly (17) from the adapter, and the valve and the inlet body. Remove the retaining ring (20) and O-ring seal (19) from oil tube assembly (17). 8. Position a suitable container under the transfer case. Remove plug (22) from the transfer case. The capacity of the transfer case is 96 L (25 U.S. gal). 9. Loosen locknut (24) and remove hose assembly (23) from bracket (25). 10. Remove four bolts (27) and the washers from tube assembly (28). Disconnect tube assembly (28) from oil cooler core (26). 11. Remove four bolts (30), the washers, and clip (29) from tube assembly (31). Disconnect tube assembly (31) from oil cooler core (26). 12. Mark and identify hose assembly (33) for installation purposes. Disconnect hose assembly (33) from bonnet (32). Cap and plug all connections to avoid system contamination. 13. Remove six bolts (34) and support (35) from the bonnet. 14. Remove three bolts (36) from flange (37). The top bolt must stay in the bonnet for installation purposes.15. Loosen the top bolt from bonnet (32). Replace five bolts (38) and bonnet (32) from the cooler inlet bonnet. Remove flange (37), O-ring seal (39), two gaskets (40), and oil cooler spacer (41) from bonnet (32). 16. Position a lifting sling around oil cooler core (26) as shown. Separate the lifting sling to a hoist. Loosen six bolts (42) and remove oil cooler core (28) from oil cooler bonnet (43). The weight of oil cooler core (26) is 48 kg (105 lb). 17. Remove O-ring seal (44) from tube assembly (28). 18. Remove O-ring seal (45) from tube assembly (31). 19. Remove gasket (46) from oil cooler core (26).20. Repeat Step 19 for the remaining end of the oil cooler core. 21. Carefully clean the bundles in oil cooler core (26) with a 3.2 mm (.125 in) diameter rod. The following steps are for the installation of the torque converter oil cooler.22. Make sure all components of the torque converter oil cooler are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation. Remove the gasket material from all the mating surfaces of the torque converter oil cooler.23. Check all components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Lubricate all O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant being sealed. 24. Apply 5H-2471 Cement to gasket (48) and install
