Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove engine oil cooler
Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
Turn off the sea water feed.

Disconnect tube assembly (1) and harness assembly (3).
Remove hose (2).

Disconnect tube assembly (4).
Remove clamps (5) and disconnect hose (6) and hose (7).

Remove clamps (9) and disconnect hose (8).

Remove bolts (10) and bolts (11).

Remove bolts (12).
The weight of heat exchanger assembly (13) is approximately 36 kg (79 lb).
Remove bolts (14) and use two people to remove heat exchanger assembly (13).

Remove bolts (16) and bracket (15).Installation Procedure
Install heat exchanger assembly (13) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolts (14) to a torque of 30 7 N m (266 62 lb in).
Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 30 7 N m (266 62 lb in).
Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 30 7 N m (266 62 lb in).
