Position window wiper motor (12).

Install nut (11).
Install nut (10) and cap (8) on shaft (9). Tighten nut (10) to a torque of 5.5 0.5 N m (4.0 0.37 lb ft).

Connect harness assembly (7). Install cable strap (6).

Position wiper arm (5). Install nut (3). Hand tighten nut (3).
Torque nut (3) to a torque of 23 1 N m (17.0 0.8 lb ft).
Wait at least half hour. Torque nut (3) again to 23 1 N m (17 0.7 lb ft).
Install hose (2) to fitting (1).
Illustration 5 g00488225Note: Do not use petroleum lubricants on the hose ends. Do not stretch the hose between connections.
Connect the hose of the window washer to the fitting. Install the hose to Dimension (A). Dimension (A) is 1.0 1.0 mm (0.04 0.04 inch).
Close cover (4) on wiper arm (5).
Connect the battery terminals. Move the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Start the machine.
Start the window wiper. Check the wiper arm for proper operation.
