Check the operation of the bypass valve for the filter. If the operation indicates restricted filters, install new oil filters.Oil Cooler

Check for presence of fuel in lubricating oil. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Fuel Dilution of Engine Oil".Oil Pressure Sensor
Ensure that the sensor is operating properly. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Engine Pressure Sensor Open or Short Circuit-Test".Oil Pressure Relief Valve
Clean the bypass valve and the housing. Install any new required parts.Oil Pump
Check the inlet screen on the oil pump for obstructions. Check for air leakage into the supply to the oil pump. Examine the oil pump for excessive wear. Repair the oil pump or replace the oil pump.Bearing Clearances
Install new camshaft bearings and new crankshaft bearings if the bearings are worn.
Inspect the main bearings. Replace the main bearings if the bearings are worn.
