Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to position hydraulic tank assembly (10) on the machine. The weight of the hydraulic tank assembly is approximately 45 kg (100 lb). Remove Tooling (A) from the hydraulic tank.

Note: You can install bolts (9) through the access hole in the right hand plate above the tracks.
Install bolts (9) and (9A) that secure the hydraulic tank assembly in place.
Connect harness assembly (6) to sending unit (7). Secure the harness assembly in position with cable straps.
Connect hose assembly (8) to the hydraulic tank assembly. Tighten the clamp.
Place tube assemblies (5) (if equipped) in position against the hydraulic tank assembly. Install the clamps and the bolts that secure the tube assemblies in position.

Connect hose (4) to the hydraulic tank assembly. Tighten hose clamp (3) in order to secure the hose in place.
Place the bracket, filters, and hose in position on the hydraulic tank assembly. Install bolts (1) and the washers that secure bracket (2) in position.
Fill the hydraulic system with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Capacities (Refill)" and Operation and Maintenance, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check".End By: Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install".
