Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove terminal box.

Remove cable strap (1). Position harness assembly (2) through the generator housing and out of the way.

Remove bolts (5) and spacer (6). Remove bolts (3) and mounting ring (4).

Remove rotor (7).

Use suitable tooling to remove hub (8) from the shaft. Take caution to ensure that keyway (9) is not lost or damaged.

Make an alignment mark on coil (11) at the location of varistor (10) for assembly purposes.

Disconnect harness assembly (12).

Remove bolts (16). Remove nuts (19) and disconnect harness assembly (18). Remove nuts (13) and disconnect harness assemblies (15). Remove rectifier assembly (14) carefully feeding harness assemblies (15) through grommets (17). Replace grommets (17) if grommets (17) appear worn or damaged.

Remove bolts (20). Remove exciter stator (21).

Remove exciter rotor (22). Installation Procedure
Install exciter rotor (22) and exciter stator (21) in the reverse order of removal.
