Information:

1. Remove differential from carrier. 2. Remove lockwire and bolts (2) from the covers of the differential case. Remove bearings (1) from both covers.3. Remove covers (3) from each end of differential case. 4. Remove disc (4) and spring (5) from each end of differential case. Note position of springs. 5. Remove gears (6) from each end of differential case. 6. Remove retaining ring (7) from inside of differential case, on each end. 7. Drive twelve pins (8) out of differential case. 8. Remove twelve shafts (9) from differential case using a 1/4"-20NC forged eyebolt.9. Remove twelve pinion gears and plates (or washers) from differential case.Assemble Torque Proportioning Differential
There are eight drive pinions (1) with the same part number. There are four idler pinions (2) with the same part number.
Assemble pinion gears so end having identification mark is to inside.
1. Install four idler pinions (2) in the center of case (3). Install plates (or washers) (4) in the case. Install the four shafts (5) for the idler pinions.2. Install four drive pinions (1) in the end of the case opposite the flange. Install the shafts (5) for the drive pinions.3. Install four drive pinions (1) in the end of the case with the flange. Install the shafts (5) for the drive pinions. 4. Put the holes in the shaft in alignment with the holes in the differential case, and install pins (6). 5. Install the retaining rings (7) in the grooves in the differential case. 6. Install gears (8) in each end of differential case. 7. Put oil on both sides of springs. Install springs (10) with concave side in direction of face gear.8. Install bearings on covers. Put multipurpose grease on both sides of disc (9). Install disc to cover. 9. Put covers (11) in position on each end of the differential case and install bolts.10. Install lockwire through the bolts of the covers. 11. Install differential in carrier.Disassemble Torque Proportioning Differential
1. Remove differential from carrier. 2. Remove the lockwire and bolts (1). Remove plate (2).3. Remove the cover (3) from differential. Remove the disc from cover. 4. Remove the two springs (4) from the gear. Note position of springs. 5. Remove the gear (5) from differential. 6. Remove the case assembly (6), weight 142 lbs. (64,41 kg), from the cover (8). Remove the gear (7) from the cover. 7. Remove the two springs (9). Note position of springs. Remove disc (10) from the cover. Remove the bearing from the cover. 8. Remove the lockwire from case assembly bolts. Remove nuts (11) and bolts. 9. Remove upper case (12) from differential. 10. Remove the drive pinions (13) from case. Remove bearings (14) from pinions. Remove case (15). 11. Remove the idler pinions (17) from case. Remove bearings from pinions. Remove case (16). 12. Remove drive pinions (18) from case. Remove bearings from pinions.Assemble Torque Proportioning Differential
