The corner adapters are located under the side bars in several configurations. Placement of the new adapter may require some latitude of adjustment. Make a 6.0 mm (0.24 inch) bevel weld to the top of the adapters, to the bottom of the adapters, and to the side bars. The location of some corner adapters may be too close to the edge of the side bars or the base edges. This may prevent you from applying a full 8.0 mm (0.32 inch) fillet weld. Apply as much fillet weld as possible in order to protect the bevel welds. Illustration 11 and illustration 12 show the DRS230 adapters after you have applied the weld. You have replaced the 8J-7525 Adapters with the new DRS230 adapters. Illustration 13 shows the DRS230 adapters after you have applied the weld. You have replaced the J200 adapterswith the new DRS230 adapters. Illustration 14 shows the DRS230 adapters after you have applied the weld. You have replaced the DRS200 adapter with the new DRS230 adapters. You will need to alter the position of the new DRS230 adapters because the top straps and the bottom straps of the new adapters are wider than the top straps and the bottom straps of the former adapters. Due to the slightly greater width of the straps on the new DRS230 adapters, be careful to properly locate the center adapters at all of the inboard positions.
