Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Remove isolator (3) from glow plug (2).
Remove nut (4) (not shown) from glow plug (2).
Remove lead (4) from glow plug (2).
Use a deep socket in order to remove glow plug (2) from cylinder head (1) for the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device (ARD). Installation Procedure

A 247-5377 Torque Wrench 1
Ensure that the thread of the glow plug is clean and free from damage. Replace any damaged glow plug.

Use a deep socket in order to install glow plug (2) to cylinder head (1) for the Aftertreatment Regeneration Device (ARD).
Tighten glow plug (2) to a torque of 8 N m (71 lb in).
Install lead (4) to glow plug (2).
Install nut (4) (not shown) from glow plug (2) finger tight.
Use Tooling (A) to tighten nut (4) to a torque of 1.2 N m (10.6 lb in).
Install isolator (3) to glow plug (2)
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
