1/2 -13 by 3 inch 2 Start By:
Remove the transmission hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Hydraulic Control - Remove".
Separate the transmission and the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission and Torque Converter - Separate".
Remove the speed sensor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Speed Sensor (Transmission) - Remove".

Attach Tooling (A), Tooling (B), Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to transmission housing (1). The weight of transmission housing (1) is approximately 1270 kg (2800 lb).

Position transmission housing (1) on suitable blocking.
Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to transmission planetary (3). The weight of transmission planetary (3) is approximately 953 kg (2100 lb).
Remove bolts (2). Install Tooling (E), in order to remove the transmission planetary.
