To prevent personal injury when checks are made while the machine is in operation, make sure only approved personnel are on the machine. Keep other personnel off the machine and in view of the operator. Make sure checks are done in an open area.

With the tires in the CENTER position, clamp a straightedge on each side of the axle group. This should be done with the straightedge parallel to the ground.

Measure dimension (A) and dimension (B). Compare the dimensions. The steering alignment is correct when dimension (A) is less than dimension (B) by 0 to 3.20 mm (0 to 0.125 inch).
If the dimension is not correct, an adjustment needs to be made.
Leave the test equipment in place.

Loosen locking nut (3) from axle housing (4) .
Loosen nut (5) and nut (6). Loosen the nuts on both sides of tie rod (1) .
Adjust the steering alignment by adjusting yoke assembly (7). You will need to turn the yoke assembly clockwise or counterclockwise on each side of tie rod (1). This is dependent on the measurements that were obtained in the test.
Recheck and adjust the steering alignment. Make sure that dimension (A) is less than dimension (B) by 0 to 3.20 mm (0 to 0.125 inch).
Reattach the tie rod and locking nuts.
Remove the test equipment.
