2. Position small hydraulic jack (1) under the engine flywheel housing before removing any pump gearbox mounting bolts. Loosen mount bolts (2) and raise pump gearbox and the rear of the engine slightly. 3. Remove pump gearbox mounting bolts (3). Leave a couple of bolts (3) in the top of the pump gearbox. 4. Install two nylon straps as illustrated with a hoist. Remove short drain hose (4) from the bottom of the pump gearbox. With tension on the nylon straps, remove remaining bolts (3), at the top of the pump gearbox. 5. Remove four mount bracket bolts (5) from each side of the pump gearbox. With the hoist, raise the pump gearbox slightly and pull away from the engine flywheel housing until the drive plate shaft disengages with the pump gearbox. The weight of the pump gearbox is 114 kg (250 lbs). At the time of installation lubricate the drive plate shaft with 6V-4876 Molykote Paste Lubricant. For installation of the pump gearbox, reverse the removal steps. Fill the pump gearbox with oil to the correct level. See the Operation And Maintenance Manual.End By:a. Install auxiliary pump.b. Start By:Remove pump gearbox. 1. Remove seven bolts (2), and remove cover (1) and the gasket from housing (3). 2. If necessary, remove seal (4) from cover (1). 3. Remove gear (5) from housing (3). 4. If necessary, remove bearings (6) from gear (5). 5. Remove adapters (7), (8) and (9) from the gears. 6. If necessary, remove breather (11) from housing (3).7. Remove four bolts (10), and remove adapter (12) from housing (3). During the assembly of the pump gearbox use 6V-6640 Gasket Maker between housing (3) and adapter (12).8. Remove gear (13) from housing (3). If necessary, remove the bearings from gear (13).9. Repeat Steps 7 and 8 to remove the remaining two adapters and gears. For assembly of the pump gearbox, reverse the disassembly steps. All gearbox components must be cleaned and inspected before assembly. If any components are worn beyond recommended limits they must be replaced. Lubricate all moving parts with clean oil during assembly. Assemble gearbox with all new seals.End By:Install pump gearbox.
