This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS5284" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the May 16, 1997 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Service Claim Allowances.

Due to material defects, some speed dial potentiometer housings break when rotated against minimum or maximum positions.

If the potentiometer knob on the Maestro panel can be turned beyond the minimum or maximum position, replace the old potentiometer by the new 1416258 Potentiometer.
1. Remove the 1315196 Monitor Group from the right hand console.2. Loosen the five screws at its back in order to remove the 1266389 Board Assembly (printed circuit board).3. Remove the center plug of the speed dial potentiometer knob to access its locking screw.4. Remove the knob.5. Replace the old 1243424 Switch Group (Potentiometer) with the new 1416258 Switch Group.6. Install the knob and the center plug.7. Install the 1266389 Board Assembly.8. Install 1315196 Monitor Group in the right hand console.
