Dealer Service Tools now offers the 260-5800 Electrical Test Group for electrical system diagnostics on all Cat products. The electrical test group includes a 237-5130 Digital Multimeter Group, a 225-8266 Ammeter Tool Group, a 243-3140 Current Detector, and the instruction manuals for each component in a vinyl carrying case.For more information on the 237-5130 Digital Multimeter Group, refer to page 1-9 in the Dealer Service Tools Catalog, NENG2500-06, 237-5130 Digital Multimeter Group. For more information on the 225-8266 Ammeter Tool Group, refer to page 1-1 in the Dealer Service Tools Catalog.The 243-3140 Current Detector allows the technician to locate conductors which are carrying current. With the current detector, the technician can pinpoint a specific conductor in a group that carries current. The technician pinpoints a specific conductor by reducing the sensitivity of the current detector. The technician moves the current detector near the current carrying conductor. When the current detector beeps and flashes, the technician repeats this process.
