Permit only one operator on the machine. Either keep other personnel away from the machine, or keep other personnel in the sight of the operator.
Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move the machine away from any machines that are working and any personnel.
Move the transmission control to the PARK position.
Lower the scraper bowl to the ground and activate the parking brakes. Close the apron and stop the engine.
Place chocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving.
Shut off the machine disconnect switch.
Relieve the hydraulic pressure in the system.For the DFA machines and the DFJ machines, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR8607, "631G and 637G Wheel Tractor-Scraper Machine Systems", "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".For the CEH machines and the CLR machines, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR5726, "631G and 637G Wheel Tractor-Scraper Machine Systems", "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".For the AXT machines and the AWK machines, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR4075, "631G and 637G Wheel Tractor-Scraper Machine Systems", "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

Remove the tube assembly from the cylinder. Save the hardware that connects the tube assembly to the rod end of the cylinder. Discard the tube assembly and the hardware that connects the tube assembly to the head end of the cylinder.
Remove the tube supports (9) and (10) from the cylinder. Grind the cylinder barrel to a smooth finish.

Install one new rectangular seal (1) to the new tube assembly (2). By using the hardware that was saved in Step 9, install the new tube assembly to the hydraulic cylinder.
By using the new hydraulic lines clamp group (3), secure tube assembly (2) to the hydraulic cylinder. The maximum torque on
