Description of Change: A new tube assembly for the work tool lines gp has been released. The new tube assembly has been redesigned in order to provide increased clearance with the fuel tank. The former tube assembly was subject to wear as a result of inadvertent contact with the fuel tank during machine operation.Adaptable To: The new 279-9907 Tube As has replaced the former 218-5938 Tube As. This change is effective with 252B (S/N: SCP2241) and 262B (S/N: PDT2740) machines.The new tube assembly, which is a direct replacement for the former tube assembly, is part of the 218-5936 Work Tool Lines Gp. The new tube assembly is available through the Caterpillar parts system.Note: The 218-5936 Work Tool Lines Gp is nonserviceable.The former tube assembly has been cancelled.
